The Oguta-Ogwu-AkiliOgidi-Obeagwe community forests are located along the upper Niger floodplain and North of the Delta, these forests also contain the Osomari forest reserve in Anambra State. This forest cluster is situated both in Imo (Oguta) and Anambra States. These forests dominated by oil palm trees Elaeis guineensis contain significant populations of the Nigerian-Cameroon chimpanzee and the endemic sclater’s monkey.
